Beginners Swing Dance Course - 3rd October
Time to shake off those winter blues by trying something new and having a laugh, all while getting some exercise. Come and join us to get dancing!
Our beginner classes are for complete beginners.
❌You don't need any experience.
❌You don't need a partner.
❌You don't need to worry about gender roles.
✅All you need is yourself, some comfy shoes, a water bottle and to be ready to have fun!
This block, we’ll be learning 20's Charleston and Lindy Hop.
All of our beginner blocks run for 6 weeks and cover two different styles of swing dance - something for faster music and something for slower music. This way, you are ready to get out onto the dance floor, no matter what kind of music is playing! Each block will contain Lindy Hop and one of the following; 1920s Charleston, 1940s Charleston, Balboa or Collegiate Shag.
Time: 8:00 - 9:00 pm
Venue: The Estonian Hall, 200 Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide
Class dates: Every Thursday from the 3rd of October - 7th of November
We do have classes on public holidays.
Each week, after class, we have our weekly social dance with DJs and a bar open. It’s a great time to practice what you’ve learned in class, meet other dancers, or simply relax and enjoy the music.
Also, after each 6-week block ends, we have a Community Dance the following week to celebrate and give everyone an opportunity to bust out their moves!
